More About Luso Chá
Luso Chá is a green tea from northern Portugal, crafted by Chá Camélia near Porto. The name means “Portuguese tea”: Luso refers to Lusitania, the ancient name of Portugal, and Chá is the Portuguese word for tea. The name highlights both its origin and Portugal’s historic connection to tea culture.
The summer harvest yields larger leaves with low caffeine content, giving the tea a mild and gentle taste. The coarse processing reveals a variety of green shades in the leaves.
The infusion is clear and fresh, with vegetal tones, a hint of sweetness and a subtle saline touch reminiscent of the Atlantic coast. Luso Chá pairs beautifully with both savoury and sweet dishes.
