Here, tea is produced according to \u003cem\u003eshizensaibai\u003c\/em\u003e: without artificial fertiliser or pesticides. The tea bushes are \u003cem\u003ezairai\u003c\/em\u003e: grown from seed rather than cloned. While around 75% of all Japanese tea comes from a single cultivar such as Yabukita, every zairai bush is genetically distinct.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eKamairicha Zairai is a \u003ca href=\"\/en\/pages\/green-tea\"\u003e\u003cem\u003egreen tea\u003c\/em\u003e\u003c\/a\u003e that is not steamed but briefly heated in a pan. The scent is reminiscent of apricot jam and rain on dry earth.
