The scent is reminiscent of broth and boiled potato, with a hint of blackcurrant. The flavour is dominated by umami: rich and savoury, with spiced notes of oregano and thyme, in a creamy texture reminiscent of matcha.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIn Nagasaki, \u003cem\u003eocha\u003c\/em\u003e automatically means tamaryokucha, whereas elsewhere in Japan it almost always refers to sencha.
