Dong Ding is a classic oolong tea from Nantou, Taiwan. The name means “Frozen Summit” and refers to the cool mountain region where the tea bushes grow. On these slopes, no pesticides are used, allowing the leaves to preserve their pure, natural character.
After harvesting, the leaves are lightly oxidized and roasted. This process creates creamy and nutty notes balanced by fresh floral tones. The result is an oolong where strength and refinement meet.
The infusion turns yellow-green and carries aromas of honey and flowers. The taste reveals magnolia, milk and biscuit, with a soft hint of Pastel de Nata. Dong Ding can be steeped multiple times without losing its lively character.
Storing loose leaf tea correctly is important to preserve its freshness and flavour. Keep it away from the four elements that affect quality: air, heat, light, and moisture.
