Araksa Tea Garden

Amba Tea Estate is located in the Ambadandegama valley in the Uva Highlands of Sri Lanka, above the Ravana Ella waterfalls. Many of the tea bushes have been growing there for decades.

The estate works with small farmers from the valley who supply tea leaves, coffee beans, and herbs at a price above the prevailing market rate. Production takes place in small batches, without pesticides, using compost and shade trees. Amba is a member of the Ceylon Artisanal Tea Association and shares a portion of its income with the people who work there.
