Description

Kumari Gold is a black tea and the crown jewel of Kanchanjangha Tea Estate, nestled at the foot of the Himalayas in Nepal. Here, the finest leaf buds are hand-picked, developing their signature, enchanting golden hue during processing.

The infusion is a deep amber, with aromas of caramelised sugar, baked fruit, and honey. Its flavour is a smooth harmony of malt, honey, and cocoa, rounded off with a long, sweet finish and a subtle earthy note.

Kumari Gold has been honoured with a gold award at the Toronto Tea Festival and a silver medal at the AVPA Paris Tea Competition, a testament to its exceptional quality.

The story behind the tea: Kanchanjangha Tea Estate

At the foot of Kanchenjunga, the third highest mountain in the world, Deepak Prakash Baskota founded Nepal's first organically certified tea garden in 1984.

Kanchanjangha Tea Estate is located in the mountainous Panchthar district in eastern Nepal and operates as a cooperative: more than 150 farmers are co-owners and directly involved in production. His son Nishchal builds on that legacy through Nepal Tea Collective, which brings tea directly from the garden to consumers worldwide without intermediaries.
