Royal Lanka Black is a black tea from Sri Lanka, crafted at Kaley Tea Estate bordering the Sinharaja rainforest. The young leaves, from the Camellia sinensis varietal sinensis, undergo slow natural withering followed by low-temperature drying. This creates a smooth body and a layered, expressive flavour.
The infusion shows a warm amber hue and a silky texture. Its aroma reveals woody and earthy tones with forest depth. The taste grows richer with malt and dark fruit, complemented by soft caramel and natural sweetness.
Produced in very small batches, no more than 10 kg per month, Royal Lanka Black reflects the unique terroir and craftsmanship of Kaley Tea Estate.
