Zomba Pearls is a rare and exceptional white tea from the Shire Highlands in Malawi, where Satemwa Tea Estate produces only twenty kilos of these pearls each year. The leaves are hand-picked, delicately rolled, and crafted into beautiful, eye-catching shapes.

The story behind the tea: Satemwa Tea Estate

At Satemwa Tea Estate in the Shire Highlands of Malawi, the Kay family has been producing tea since 1923. Under Alexander Kay, third generation, the focus shifted from mass production to specialty tea.

All leaves are hand-picked. Satemwa employs around 1,800 people and also runs a clinic and a primary school for the local community.
