Description

Kaley Glow is a black tea from Sri Lanka, crafted by Kaley Tea Estate in the breathtaking Sinharaja rainforest. The base of hand-picked black tea is blended with pieces of cinnamon, cardamom, clove, and orange peel.

The liquor brews to a deep amber, releasing a bold, spicy aroma with warm notes of cinnamon and cardamom. On the palate, the spices take centre stage, finishing with a bright hint of citrus.

Kaley Tea Estate works on a small scale, using fully organic methods. Every step, from picking the leaves to blending the spices, is done entirely by hand.

The story behind the tea: Kaley Tea Estate

The name Kaley means "forest" in Sinhala, and that translates directly into the way they work: at Enasaldola Estate in Kotapola (Sri Lanka), tea bushes grow among tropical greenery, twelve kilometres from the Sinharaja rainforest.

The Wickremesooriya family has been growing organic tea here since 2015, without chemicals, hand-picked and processed by hand. In 2024, Kaley Tea Estate won a special sustainability award at The Leafies in London.
