Description

Tiny Temple is a vibrant green tea from Myanmar, grown on the serene and lush Five Trees Estate in Mogok. The tea leaves are cultivated at 1100 meters above sea level and are picked entirely by hand. To preserve their natural character, the farmers use heat to stop oxidation, following the traditional kill-green method.

The infusion glows a clear yellow-orange and releases a fragrant, fruity-spicy aroma with hints of citrus and sunflower seed. The taste is fresh and layered, with floral notes, a touch of lychee, and the gentle green snap of young bamboo shoots.

Tiny Temple is made in small quantities by Mogok Tea and was recognized with a “Highly Commended” award at the Leafies International Tea Awards, hosted by the UK Tea Academy.

The story behind the tea: Mogok Tea

At the Five Trees Estate in Mogok, 200 kilometres north of Mandalay in Myanmar, Phyu Thwe started a micro tea factory as a sustainable alternative to the mining that has dominated the region for generations.

All tea is hand-picked across 180 hectares of tea gardens and processed on a small scale. In 2024, Mogok Tea won three awards at the Leafies Awards of the UK Tea Academy.
